Chakra Therapy
Chakras are the seven main energy centers of the body according to eastern medicine. Chakra is a sanskrit word which means "wheel". The chakras are similar to wheels, in that they are spinning vortexes of energy. They are centers of force, located within our etheric body, through which we receive, transmit and process life energies.
The human body has a number of energy centers through which energy may travel, or which can act as receivers for energy from the outside. Chakras are roughly in line with, and have a connection to, the human endocrine system.
The body needs all of the following seven color rays: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. Each color ray is associated with one or more of the chakras. By using a color ray that supports a particular chakra, a person can speed healing of the associated areas and organs.
Chakra's are in the center of the body, starting at the base of the spine and running up the top of the head.

Finding Chakras
Circle the gemstone in front of the body in a large circle where a chakra should be. Slowly decrease the size of the circle following the energy. Your body will tingle where charkas are when using Black Onyx, or the gemstone will feel a pull towards the chakra.
Single Chakra
A person works on a single Chakra only. Place the gemstone or a strand of gemstones on a chakra and keep them there from 3-25 minutes. You must find what feels best for you. If the stone feels uncomfortable, remove immediately. Try using specific stones on each Chakra to see which stone works for each Chakra. Listed above are the recommended stones for each Chakra.
All Chakra
Place seven Clear Quartz spheres or seven strands of frosted Quartz on each Chakra, starting at the base and working your way up.
Leave the stones there for approximately 5-25 minutes. Remove the stones or strands in opposite order, starting from the crown chakra and working down.
Other Techniques
The easiest way to do gemstone therapy is to wear high quality round beads around the neck. Intention strengthens the process but is not necessary. Metal inhibits the process. If metal surrounds the gemstone, its affects are often greatly reduced (and sometimes eliminated).
